COOKIES AND CREME FOR THE WRIST

Legendary diamond house De Beers has combined diamonds and precision Swiss timekeeping in its Talisman Suntime Riviere, a one-of-a-kind watch unveiled in its New York store last month. Designed to appear like a sundial, the unconventional timepiece is made with 357 black and white baguette diamonds and appointed with one rough black diamond―a signature of the De Beers jewelry collection―at the center of the dial. The Swiss automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve reveals the time with two diamonds denoting the hour and minute hands within a narrow circle on the face. It took a craftsman more than 600 hours to create the $800,000 timepiece.
